Child Care
The Denver metro area is fortunate to have more than 235 pre-schools throughout the different cities. The choices are unlimited with many religious denomination affiliated and some with specialized learning programs. Some organizations provide daily transportation to and from schools.
Many experts believe that children who attend quality, early childhood programs are more successful in regular school and have advanced verbal and intellectual development. The most important criteria in selecting the child care or pre-school that is appropriate for your child, is to visit the facility and see first-hand the operation while in session.
Colorado Child Care Centers and Pre-schools are State licensed and monitored. A valuable tool of assessment would is to discuss the facility with parents that currently have children enrolled. This can easily be done by arriving a few minutes before school is over and visiting with parents waiting for their children.
Each county has an effective referral service. They can give you names of In-home, licensed day care providers as well as Child Care Centers in your area.
